Well Water Filtration & Treatment
Clean, clear, better-tasting water from every tap in the house.
Central Florida well water carries a lot of local character. Iron staining on fixtures and laundry, a sulfur smell strongest in hot water, sand and sediment after heavy rain, and hardness that leaves scale on everything are all common here. None of it means your well is bad — it means the water needs the right treatment.
Because we work on the wells and pumps themselves, we look at treatment as part of the whole system rather than as a box bolted onto the wall. Sediment coming through, for instance, sometimes points at a well or pump issue rather than a filtration one.
What treatment can address
- Iron and the orange-brown staining it leaves on fixtures and laundry
- Sulfur and the rotten-egg smell that comes with it
- Sand and sediment carried through from the well
- Hardness and the scale it leaves on plumbing and appliances
- Point-of-use drinking water systems, including reverse osmosis
Whole-home versus point-of-use
Whole-home treatment sits where water enters the house and improves every tap, shower, and appliance — the right approach for iron, sulfur, sediment, and hardness, since those affect your plumbing as much as your drinking glass. Point-of-use systems such as reverse osmosis treat a single tap for drinking and cooking.
Plenty of homes end up with a combination. What makes sense depends on what is actually in your water, which is where we start rather than where we guess.
Common questions
How do I find out what is in my water?
Start with a call and describe what you are seeing, smelling, or tasting — staining, odor, grit, or scale each point in different directions. From there we assess the water and recommend a system sized to your home.
Do I need a softener or a filter?
They solve different problems. Softeners address hardness; filtration addresses iron, sulfur, and sediment. Many Central Florida homes need a combination.
Does treatment equipment need maintenance?
It does — media and filters have a service life, and skipping maintenance is the usual reason a system stops performing. Our monthly service plans cover it.
